Q1: Is there a practice test for TERRANOVA 2nd Grade, Online Exam, Only?
A1: Yes. Page 6, of TerraNova 2nd grade online Teacher Manual Directions, Provides the following practice test link: http://learnoas.ctb.com/TerraNova3Practice/ . The students can view the Demo then you can proceed with the Practice Activities by selecting "Level 12"
- Click on "Start the test"
- No Login ID, Password or Access Code is needed
- Click on "Log in"
- On Page 8, of your manual, the Directions for Administering the Practice Activities begin.
- The Reading & Language activities end on Page 11, but you can continue with the rest of the Activities if you feel the students need more online practice for improvement on online testing skills.
- The Practice Activities end on page 14
Q2: When bubbling TerraNova 1st Grade Paper/Pencil sheet, Which columns do we bubble in?
A2: Bubble in everything, except the following columns:
- Special Codes
- Testing Accommodations
- Under the "Program Column" bubble in "LEP/ELL", only. Don't fill in the other two
- For 1st & 2nd Grade SUPERA, Bubble in everything, except "Codigos Especiales"
Q3: When bubbling in the student’s ID Number for the Paper/Pencil Administration, do we add leading “0’s” at the beginning or at the end?
A3: No. Do not at leading "0's" in the beginning or at the end. Bubble in the student’s id number and leave the rest alone. In other words do not bubble in the "0's" at the end.
Q4: Can our LPAC Aide Administer the Test, since they have Administer TerraNova before?
A4: No. A Certified teacher must administer the Test, for exiting purposes<Norm Reference Test>(NRT). The LPAC Aide can assist, only.
- When the LPAC Instructional Aide administer the TerraNova, it’s for Placement Purposes due to the student getting a 4 or 5 on the LAS Links (OLPT) exam but not for exiting purposes (NRT)
Q5: If a student withdraws from our campus,after we have already picked up the Paper/Pencil Booklets from Bilingual Department, do we fill the information in and send it to the new campus?
A5: No. Leave the booklet blank and return the blank booklets as scheduled, April 13, 2016. The receiving campus will request the booklets for any new students enrolling into their campus.
Q6: Do we Administer the Reading and Language, only?
A4: Yes. Only administer the Reading and Language Part 1 & Part 2, for both Online & Paper/Pencil Administration.
Q7: Can the students use their strategies and write on the exam, for the Paper/Pencil Administration?
A7: No. Students may bubble the correct answer, but not write on the exam. The exam will be scanned and any stray marks may interfere with the scoring the exam. They may use a separate sheet of paper to apply the strategies they have been taught.
Q8: We have completed testing Part 1, of TerraNova 2nd Online. The students will be going to lunch then returning to finish Part 2. Do we select "Stop" or "Continue"?

A8-Bilingual: : TerraNova Online is no longer an “untimed” exam. TerraNova recommended that we turn off the monitors if student walked away from the exam. This is no longer valid, since the Reading & Language Part1 & Part 2 are timed (Part 1: 30mins, Part 2: 45mins). If the students must walk away from the exam, due to an emergency, then they can do one of the following:
- Unplug the internet chord from the computer, this will show that the network went down. Wait 10 seconds then plug the internet chord back into the computer. The student will then be able to log in and continue where he left off.

A8-TERRANOVA Support: : TerraNova Online is no longer an “untimed” exam. TerraNova recommended that we turn off the monitors if student walked away from the exam. - Call TERRANOVA support to reset exam. This means the student will need to take part 1 and part II again.
- TERRANOVA support team will issue you a case number. Once they have completed the tasks then they will notify to re-test the students. This process may take up to two days.
Q9: We are attempting to run TerraNova 2nd Online Reports on Acuity.bisd.us, but when we click on "Campus" there is nothing to select. What are we doing wrong?
A9: You must use "Google Chrome Browser" in order to run TerraNova 2nd Online reports. Internet Explorer Browser will give you error or not allow you to see the report you are searching for.
Q10: We are pending 2nd Grade Supera Booklets. Can we make a copy of the testing booklet and when the original booklets come in then we can transfer the answers over?
A10: No. As noted at the bottom of page one, of the testing booklet; All rights reserved. No part of this publication may be reproduced or distributed in any form or by any means, or stored in a database or retrieval system. Our TERRANOVA Supera Booklets are in “Back Order”. We are in the process of solving this issue.
Q11: The Supera booklets “Fecha de nacimiento” don’t have the bubble in for 1-6, so how can bubble in under “Año” = 2010? There is no “1” to bubble in.
A11: We contacted the State scoring representative, for CTW, on this issue. They are working on fixing the error. They suggested we write in the “Fecha de nacimiento” in the Boxes. DON’T BUBBLE IN THE “Fecha de nacimiento” FOR THE 1st & 2nd Grade SUPERA BOOKLETS, INSTEAD WRITE IN THE DOB. View sample below:
Q&A's when submitting TerraNova_SUPERA Roster
Q1: If we have all the correct information, do we still send you the updated roster you are requesting?
A1: No. Only send me the complete updated roster if you made changes/updates.
Q2: Do we send the updated changes on separate rosters for the different exams we are administering?
A2: No. The roster already has the Tabs for the different exams being administered. Go to the "Action" column and select a choice from the drop down arrow. If serveral changes have been made to one student or there is no selection that meet your needs, then go to "Comments" column and explain every change made.
This will then allow us to make the appropriate changes on TERRANAVA Console.

Q3: Do our student need to have a sign in roster, during testing?
A3: Yes. We follow regular testing procedures. The following items must be in place when returning items to our department:
- Testing Sign-in student roster with the name of the Certified Teacher administering the exam Download
- Testing Oath in place of the people in the testing room Personnel | Admin | Technology
- Organized by test type, grade level, & alphabetical order
- Restroom roster used during testing Download
- Scratch paper used during testing
