Engage in Global Collaboration - Porter High School
Writing across the curriculum - Porter ESL Blog
NearPod has helped our Bilingual/ESL teachers integrate educational technology into the curriculum. The collaboration and interactions is definitely 21st Century environment. Principals & Teachers are constantly calling my office for NearPod support. We have also trained Parents, the community, using NearPod. Parents eyes bloom when they know that their child is using NearPod in the classroom.
Our favorite aspect of NearPod would have to be the Virtual Reality & 3D Image features. The teachers can't have enough of NearPod! We trained Elementary Teachers last week on how to use NearPod in the classroom and when we were done and thank them for their time, they didn’t want to leave, they wanted more and it was an after-school PD from 3:45pm to 5pm…they usually run out!
The VR Lesson and now 3D Lessons have made a tremendous impact in my district. We've been using the NearPod Goggles in every presentation and they can’t keep their eyes off them. When we get to the VR Goggles they don’t want me to move away from the topic.
Contact us if your campus would like an event/workshop/training or if your teachers would like a Nearpod lunch & learn (or after school snack & learn). https://nearpod.com/nearpod-for-ell
First, Thank You everyone for being present for the Rosetta Stone Webinar. We should have more questions and interaction during these types of Webinars. Teachers, adapt to online environment and campus-based learning through the use of Webinars.
Nevertheless, the following link is the Webinar Recording that was hosted on December 9, 2014 9:00 am - 9:32 am
